Muzium Telekom showcases telephones and nearly everything about telecommunications in Malaysia. Run by Telekom Malaysia, it serves as an education centre for telecommunication history in Malaysia. Although rather small, it is housed in a heritage building that was built in 1928 as the country's second telephone exchange. The building eventually became the main telephone office of Malaya and became a Kuala Lumpur landmark with its characteristic Ionia pillars and Greeco-Roman design.

Muzium Telekom was officially opened on 3 June 1994 and currently boasts 6 galleries. These six galleries offer visitors a glimpse at how telecommunications developed in the country, and traces the development alongside the growth of the nation. The displays in the museum incorporate both audio-visual displays to enhance the experience, and exhibits are often accompanied with first-hand remarks and comments from eye-witnesses. The Welcome Gallery offers an introduction to communications before the telegraph, while the Miracle Wire Gallery highlights the Morse Code and the telegraph, which to many people at that time, was indeed a miracle. The Typhoon at Sea Gallery proves the importance of telecommunications in crises and the Golden Years Gallery commemorates the high points of telecommunications in Malaysia. The Women and Communications Gallery pays tribute to women operators and finally, the Present Day Telecommunications Gallery brings visitors up to date on the advancements in telecommunications today.

Admission to the museum is free and photographs are allowed. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily, except on public holidays.

Telekom Museum is located at the intersection of Jalan Gereja and Jalan Raja Chulan, within the Kuala Lumpur Old City Centre.
