MORE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

The taste could be favourably compared to that of a pineapple, but the sour tang of the soursop as well as the coconut-like (or possibly banana-like) creamy texture put the fruit in a class of its own.

The abundance of juice and seeds in the fruit can make eating a soursop straight up a slightly tricky and messy endeavor, so the fruit is often used for juice or as a flavouring in ice creams. That being said, soursop on ice is one of Malaysia's most popular desserts, so be prepared to get your hands dirty if you want to enjoy one of Malaysia's sweetest (sour) treats!
