Malacca, which has a popular river cruise in the city, is to introduce a rural river cruise soon. Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Ng Yen Yen announced an RM800,000 allocation to get a cruise going on the Sungai Rambai.

Melaka Tourism Sector Needs 5,000 Rooms By 2013
Melaka needs over 5,000 rooms by the end of 2013 to meet the needs of the historical city’s flourishing tourism sector. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said the demand for accommodation is expected to increase when various new tourism products are completed within the next three years.
