Like wine, there is more to drinking beer than just guzzling it down blindly. For some beer lovers, it is the subtler aspects of the beer that attracts them to it – the smell of the beer before drinking it, the interaction of the beer when it goes into the mouth and the after-taste that lingers after swallowing. Therefore, it is no surprise when Craft Brews recently launched an unique range of imported craft beer, Rogue. The launch was held at its premises located in Damansara.
The team at Malaysia.com was also invited to come and sample a selection of eight fine beers from the Rogue range – four of which is available on tap, another four available by the bottle. The team agreed wholeheartedly that these were one of the finest beers that we have had the chance to enjoy so far this year. The eight beers were Chocolate Stout, Mocha Porter, Hazelnut Brown Nectar, Dead Guy Ale, Juniper Pale Ale, Mom Hefeweizen, Brutal IPA and one of our favourites, Oregasmic Ale. Check out some of the pictures we took during the launch at Craft Brews below!
Mom Hefeweizen is the lightest beer of among the eight introduced during the launch.
The two different types of beer that the team tried – The Chocolate Stout and Mocha Porter.
Where there is great beer, there must also be delicious food! The menu for the night was Caesar’s Salad, Crispy Potato Wedges and Buttered Cream Chicken.
Guests were given a ‘passport’ to fill as proof that they had sampled all eight types of beer.
Guests having a fun time enjoying the delicious food as well as the delectable beer.
The winner of the traditional ‘keg weightlifting’, Mrs Claudia Dehaan. Yes, you read it right. Mrs Dehaan beat 5 other younger counterparts to win this game. Way to go Claudia!
