We have always heard how fast food is bad for the health, containing high levels of fat and poor nutrition, but that cannot compare to what happened to a man in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur on 3rd April.

Fast food, good or bad?
According to a news report by the Star, he was walking under an electric signboard of a fast food outlet when it collapsed on him. The signboard also crashed onto a car. The man survived his encounter with the signboard, but there is no word as to whether or not he will ever frequent the fast food outlet ever again.
While that little article is humourous, the issue of fast food and proper nutrition is very serious indeed. As Malaysia continues developing, more fast food chains seem to be sprouting up. Many of these are international chains, while others are home grown brands. While entrepreneurship is good, is profit-oriented fast food chains really the best way forward?
