Padang Besar’s image as a tourism town should be improved to attract more tourists, said Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail. He said more hotels should be opened while the transportation hub should be improved to provide better bus, taxi and railway services.
“More signages in Bahasa Malaysia, Thai and English should be put up for the benefit of tourists,” he said at a ceremony to present ‘zakat gaji’ report here Monday.
Syed Faizuddin said better amenities like suraus, toilets, car parks and rest areas should also be made available to the public.
