TheĀ Perlis Snake and Reptilia Park will organise a programme dubbed “Walk In Through Snake” on May 28 which, among other things, aimed to expose the habits of the venomous reptiles to the public and ways of handling threats posed by snakes.
Park manager Tengku Norriah Tengku Mahamud said the programme was being held in conjunction with the 66th birthday anniversary of the Raja of Perlis.
She said the programme was being organised jointly with the Perlis State Economic Development Corporation (PKENPs), the Territorial Army’s 504th Regiment, Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra, Tourism Malaysia and the Perlis State Tourism Action Council.
“It is hoped that the programme will bring in more tourists to Perlis and the largest snake and reptilia park in Malaysia,” she told Bernama here today.
Tengku Norriah said the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail will officially open the programme and participate in the events held including walking through the man-made bush in the park.
