Come join us for a few hours and you'll not only get an opportunity to enjoy home–cooked Malaysian dishes, you'll also learn how to prepare the dishes the way they have been done for generations. Malaysia prides itself on being a food paradise, drawing upon the various cultures of its people to produce an amazing variety of dishes that tantalize the taste-buds.
Instead of merely enjoying eating the dishes, this tour offers you the chance to actually learn how to prepare these culinary delights in a truly Malaysian atmosphere. It is great fun and an ideal alternative to the usual shopping and sightseeing program.
Malaysians are known for their warm hospitality, readily welcoming visitors into the inner sanctum of their homes offering home-cooked food.
Malaysian food is a fascinating blend of cuisines which is unique because of its rich history being a delectable fusion of diverse cultures, predominantly Malay, Chinese, Indian and Baba. The fantastically varied dishes are appealing to a wide range of palates. With the emphasis on taste, one can be totally intoxicated with the rich layer of spices often residing in the same dish.
During your stay in Malaysia either as a visitor, resident or expatriate, why not learn to cook some Malaysian traditional dishes by taking one or more classes so that when you return home you can take back some authentic tastes of Malaysia?
Program A is the hands-on cooking class, which is held from Tuesdays to Saturdays in the mornings and presented in English in an entertaining manner by Malaysian ladies who have lived overseas. The location is a contemporary Malaysian home in a suburb, approximately 25 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur city center, complete with herb garden and with purpose-made demonstration tables and individual cooking stations.
Program B offers both the cooking class and includes a visit a classic Asian wet market which sells seafood of any variety and size, vegetables of numerous shapes and color, meat, spices and loads and loads of fruit. The visit will take place before the cooking class and serves to familiarize you with the local produce and the intricacies of Malaysian cooking.
All package rates are nett price in USD and for a minimum of 2 persons. Valid from 1 November 2011 till 31 October 2012. Quoted rates are for adults and begins from the following prices.
Program A (Cooking only):

Package Rate includes:
Price includes local taxes and service charges of currently 10 % and 6 %
Transfers in a A/C car with English speaking driver
Home cooking course with local chef
Lunch
Visit to local market for program B with local chef
Package Rate excludes:
Expenditure of a personal nature such souvenirs, etc.
The courses are operated from Tuesdays to Saturdays except on Public Holidays
Pick up is from Kuala Lumpur City Center Hotels only.
