Bak Kut Teh
Literally meaning "Pork Bone Tea", Bak Kut Teh is a marvelously spiced stew worthy of admiration the world over.
MORE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Pork ribs are slow cooked in a broth consisting of cloves, garlic, star anise, and other herbs and spices.
This cooking process can take hours even days, releasing intricate flavours from the pork bone to the broth itself, while at the same time tenderizing and softening the flesh of the meat.
What results is a wonderful flavour infused soup, bathing succulent, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs.
With additional ingredients like tofu, mushrooms, vegetables and green onions and served with steamed rice - the soup becomes a spectacle of magnificent flavour.
