Sabah Explorer (5D/4N)
Discover Sabah's many beautiful wonders of nature
MORE ABOUT THIS TOUR
This promotional package is a great way of getting a first-hand glimpse at the many natural wonders of Sabah, which is famed for eco-tourism. The package includes 4 nights accommodation with daily breakfast, airport transfers and classic tours at the following destinations: Kota Kinabalu, Kinabalu Park, Klias River, and a ride on the North Borneo Railway. Extension stays are available at special discounted rates.
The first tour of the package will take you through Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Sabah. Highlights of the tour include the Heritage Village and Museum, which offers an introduction to Sabah's ethnic diversity. The many races' vibrant and diverse cultures are seen through their architectural styles and their colourful costumes. The tour will also take you on a sightseeing drive of the city, passing various landmarks such as Tanjung Aru beach, the city's mosque, and its highest building, the Tun Mustapha Tower.
The Kinabalu Park tour is a unique look at one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. Located on the slopes of Mount Kinabalu, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a combination of temperate forests on its higher elevations and dipterocarp rainforests in its lowlands. During the tour, there will be a short trek through the rainforest, and either a walk along the 100ft high Canopy Walkway or a visit to the Tropical Garden.
The Klias River tour is a river cruise that features monkeys, lots and lots of monkeys. Be sure to be on the lookout for the elusive Proboscis monkey, mischievous macaques and myriad species of birds that inhabit this unique riverine environment. You might even have a chance at spotting a crocodile! Marvel at the true beauty of Klias when the fireflies light up the night sky.
The last tour of this package will be a train ride on the North Borneo Railway line. Enjoy the scenic countryside of little villages, mangrove swamps and paddy fields as you ride on board behind a Vulcan Steam Engine. The North Borneo Railway gives the experience of the bygone era of British colonial times in North Borneo.
